Qu'est-ce que l'améthyste ?

L’améthyste est une pierre fine de la famille des quartz, reconnaissable à sa couleur violette qui peut varier du lavande clair au pourpre profond. Sa teinte est due à la présence de fer et aux irradiations naturelles qu’elle a subies au fil du temps.

Les principaux gisements d’améthyste se trouvent au Brésil et en Uruguay, où l’on extrait des pierres d’un violet intense, souvent dans de grandes géodes. En Afrique, Madagascar produit des améthystes aux teintes lavande, tandis que la Zambie offre des variétés d’un violet profond. En Russie, les gisements de l’Oural étaient autrefois très prisés pour leurs pierres d’excellente qualité. D’autres sources notables incluent le Canada, les États-Unis (Arizona, Caroline du Nord) et l’Inde.

Quelle est la symbolique de l’améthyste ?

La symbolique de l’améthyste est associée à la sérénité, la sagesse et la protection. Depuis l’Antiquité, elle est considérée comme une pierre favorisant la clarté d’esprit et la maîtrise de soi. Dans de nombreuses cultures, elle est censée apaiser les pensées, aider à la méditation et éloigner les énergies négatives. Elle est aussi liée à la sobriété, d’où son nom issu du grec amethystos (« qui n’est pas ivre »). En lithothérapie, on lui attribue des vertus calmantes et une influence bénéfique sur l’équilibre émotionnel.

Import fees / VAT

Do I have to pay customs duties or import fees?

Please note that for all orders to be shipped to addresses outside of Switzerland, experience has shown that customs duties and/or VAT will be charged by the carrier in order for the goods to be released to you. Due to the complexity of international trade, this will unfortunately have to be paid by you and will be your responsibility. If you refuse the goods at customs, all return costs will be your responsibility (this includes any re-importation costs into Switzerland if you do not clearly mark this as a return).

What happens if I change my mind after the order arrives at my local customs office?

We understand that you may change your mind once the item arrives at customs and you see the customs charges. We do however need the order to be returned to us by the customs office before the charges can be refunded. We will unfortunately have to charge a basic fee of 10.- / $10 / £8 to pay the courier.

Lost package

I haven't received the package. What should I do?

We send each order with a tracking number that allows you to follow the progress of your package at any time. Packages/letters will be deposited in your mailboxes. Unfortunately, we cannot do anything in case of loss or theft of your package/letter.

Taneja Bijoux-Schmuck declines all responsibility in the event of loss or theft.

We are grateful to every customer who decides to buy from us. Jewelry is a very precious item and therefore we always recommend that you be very careful when wearing your jewelry:

Try not to wear your jewelry when you are in contact with chemicals such as soaps or cleaning products.
Remove them during exercise or any physical activity that could cause the jewelry to collide with something.
